  I had never been to the House of Blues Chicago and was looking forward to seeing Hippie Sabotage there tonight. It's an 18+ show and I'm 20 from out of state (New Hampshire to be exact) attending college here. My friend and I went to the doors and immediately the guy thought my ID wasn't real. They then took it inside the venue and someone rude guy came out telling me I'm not getting in. Mind you this is with my state Issued drivers license.. what a joke. Learn how to identify ID'S. I then told them they could have a police officer verify it but they said they "had" police in the venue which they did not then proceeded to say it wouldn't make a difference if an officer looked at it and confirmed it was real . So I went all the way back to my apartment and got my passport, came back and thank god they let me in but didn't apologize or seem to even recognize me even though they were all extremely rude and we're SOO convinced it was fake. Teach your employees to be able to identify real ID'S from fake ones. And just FYI no one uses a "fake ID" that says they're 20.. will never be coming here again. At least hippie sabotage was good. House of Blues BOSTON is 10000x better.

  The House of Blues was great. I went there to see the Gospel Brunch with my girlfriend, and it was a wonderful experience. First food was good. I have to admit my eyes were big than my stomach by it can not be help give all the tasty items that were offered. The decor of the place is great. There where several place to take lovely couple photos if that is your thing. It supported local talent by using local choirs for the performance. It was a wonderful experience; the only downside is there is not one in Memphis. I am resident of Memphis and we have a deep history in blues and rock and roll. I would enjoy seeing one come to town.
