  I make better vegan food at home. If I go out to eat. I expect it to be better than what I can do at home. The prices are average for your American brunch faire in the same neighborhood.
  
  I ordered the Benedict and it came out as ordered, but extremely bland. The mushroom gravy was super. If you're going to make a mushroom gravy, make it taste like mushroom! Not water mixed with flour and the mushrooms are an afterthought. Bland, lacking and I wont be back.

  As someone who doesn't eat plant-based, I was so amazed by this gem of a place. A friend with digestive issues who is forced to eat plant-based was visiting from out of town and we decided he could probably find something good here. We were blown away. The "mac and cheese" (which used Teese "cheese", if i remember correctly) was his favorite, as it tasted so real. I recommend the nachos. The waffle fries are also a highlight. We ended our meal with one of their very popular vegan milkshakes and we fell in love. They are so rich and so creamy! I prefer their milkshakes to any containing actual dairy! I'm glad this place has been around for decades, and I'm sure it will continue to grace this neighborhood for many more.

  I hadn't the chicken fried steak, with sides of macaroni and cheese, and the grilled vegetables. It was beautiful. They even did a fantastic job on the gravy. The food was delicious, and lightning fast! The diner had been packed, and they still got my food out in less than ten minutes. It's just a short walk from the Addison train stop, too.
